<><>HISTORY<><>

_{(Age 0-15)}<>As a descendant of the Umi clan; originally a guardian clan of the Seiryuu clan; he was a half-blood, of a forbidden relationship between his father (Ouki) and the second daughter (Kaoru) of a Seiryuu branch family. For this his father (Ouki) was punished with the removal of his sword-bearing arm. Summarily he was shunned from the duties of Seiryuu guardian and was forced into work as the servant of the elder brother (Koji) of the branch family whose name he had muddied (Tsukiyo's uncle on his mother's side). At the same time Koji decided to spare his sister and Tsukiyo from that fate, and instead treated them as his own. For several years he was brought up as Koji's son and was trained in the art of the sword, and mounted archery, amongst many lessons in music and other foreign frivolities. However ten years later, he set up Tsukiyo's mother with a friend of his from a high ranking family, and they had a daughter named Sayuri, however upon their return to the castle his true father went wild and began cursing Koji for his actions, even going as far as to reveal that he was Tsukiyo's true father. Which angers Koji (as this was to be kept a secret from Tsukiyo), who then has him imprisoned indefinitely. Tsukiyo is shocked to learn this; now at age 13; considering he's been raised as Koji's son, but at the same time, doesn't understand the meaning behind his situation. For a year he struggles with coming to terms with his bloodline, and due to the scandal's increasing spread he became "that one kid" whenever his cousins would come over. In most cases he would end up fighting them and losing (4 on 1 is bullshit), however whenever his mother would come to pick him up he would ignore her, as he blamed her for never telling him the truth. One of those days he sulked by a small hut after once again ignoring his mother, only to have his father notice him. With his one good arm his father grabbed the scruff of his shirt and pulled him up to his "cell" window; much to Tsukiyo's distress; and began to lecture the little fireball. Of course they argued, but eventually they shared a bond.

_{(Age 16-20)}<>Two years flew by, Sayuri would continuously talk, and would clamp herself to Tsukiyo's arm whenever she got the chance, nearly inseparable as siblings. His bond with his real father had strengthened, and all the while his uncle's standing within the family faltered. Due to the rumors and scandal he continually faced lectures from main family head's. Even more so when he failed an assault on a much weaker dominion. Due to this scrutiny he became extremely agitated, which lead to him making a rather cruel decision. He decided to make Sen take part in a military campaign, as one of the front-line infantry, which wasn't the worst part, this would be a long campaign, spanning 3 years just to bolster the defenses of the Seiryuu clan. His sister, and mother were both heartbroken, and his father completely livid. In the first dozen skirmishes he saw many of his new friends die, or get maimed to the point of taking their own lives in shame. Truthfully a grim experience for someone whose life was so covered in decadence, eventually however his skills as a master swordsman shone through. By the second year a leading general in the Main family enlisted him into his own vanguard, and on their final battle Tsukiyo was rumored to have killed over 500 men by himself, without the use of any elemental skills. However these "rumors" spun by soldiers were covered over by the general's own boasting. Granted, even the most hidden families caught wind of this rumor. To which two called upon Tsukiyo and granted him two titles. For his excellence in the sword and combat he was granted "Murakumo", and for his performance in the final battle of his last campaign "The Wind of Battle". With this he was able to return home, now a well-know warrior of the Seiryuu clan, when he returned home he found a dilapidated castle, somehow ravaged by an attack. His sister's father, and his mother had been dead for a year, even his uncle was blinded in an eye and scarred all over his body. His now 9 year old sister seemed completely devoid of any emotions, and according to the servants hadn't spoken a word since her mother had died. Angrily he confronted his uncle, who simply laughed at the matter, the argument came to a halt when an envoy from another clan family arrived. In order to assure themselves that the bride they arranged to have marry their son was still alive. The meeting was short, and awkward to say the least, considering his uncle's complete lack if composure at that point. Tsukiyo was at the very least dressed as a proud warrior should, only with the absence of his swords whilst indoors. There were two young adults; apparently twins: who appeared along with someone who could only be assumed as their mother. The conversation that ensued was surprisingly short, but for a moment their eyes met, the man who would marry his sister one day seemed proud, granted he didn't know who this boy was, let alone his sister or mother. Before the conversation entered important issues he was hurried out of the room by his uncle. For the next month the castle was slowly rebuilt, seemingly compensation for his work in the field, whilst his uncle continued to drink his days away. Eventually he found his father, who thanks to malnourishment and neglect, had withered somewhat. His strength was now less-apparent, and it seemed the pride that once gleamed in his eyes had completely gone out.

_{(Age 20-23)}<>One night everything came to a crashing halt, Tsukiyo awoke to the smell of flames and the screaming of servants, his father allegedly broke out of his cell, ransacked the castle's treasures, and lit the entire place ablaze. Servants frantically attempted to put out the flames whilst one other tried to find Sayuri. Tsukiyo searched everywhere, even going as far as to jump through walls of fire to find her, and eventually he did. However when he tried to escape a pillar dislodged from the ceiling and crashed down onto his right hand and right ear, the impact and searing pain caused him to immediately lose his hearing in his right ear, and his hand at that point was completely unusable. Even still he managed to escape, only to be captured by his uncle and his demented group of guards. They had "captured" his father who looked like he had not done anything, not a trace of soot nor shine (jewels riches etc) upon him. He preached about the diabolical plot that his father had made, and exclaimed that he would end all of their lives for their father's foolishness (even though Sayuri wasn't Ouki's daughter). In that moment Ouki wrenched himself from one of the guards hold, only to spin around and headbutt him in the chin, eventually only Koji remained, but he had already drawn his sword and Ouki was then struck down. In his dying breath Ouki whispered for Tsukiyo to run away, the pain of losing yet another part of his life cut through his heart like a blade. In a heart wrenching decision he grabbed Sayuri and ran as fast as he could, and as he ran he noticed Sayuri began to cry, only to realize so was he. When they had finally reached a relative safety he bought a small fishing boat, and used it as a house, with the intent to leave one day. The next day rumors spread of how his father had stolen a mystical item of the Seiryu clan. This news was rather strange, it said nothing of his sister or himself, upon asking he was told that they had died; murdered at the hands of his own father. Outraged he hurried back to the ship and outfitted himself to attack the castle at night. With the little of the castle left behind his uncle had already piled much of his treasures into several carriages, but one stuck out like a sore thumb. A golden sheathed wakizashi, bearing the Seiryu clan emblem on its sash, currently held in his uncle's hands, quietly he approached him from behind, with a knife drawn to seal the deal. As he got within range he lounged and stabbed his uncle in the lower spine, immediately dropping him to the ground with a scream, with his other hand he reached around his neck and crushed his windpipe with a grab, ultimately leaving the bastard to a cruel and slow death. Whilst fleeing the compound the guards from the previous night took chase, in the ensuing battle he managed to kill them all, but at the cost of his sword which broke in the final moments. With this all of his links to his previous life were severed, with the exception of his sister, and the mysterious golden sword he had taken. Upon returning to the harbor he immediately set sail in the direction of Genbu territories, as he could use the current chaos of battle to play the role of a refugee, thus ensuring their escape and relative impunity to Seiryuu pursuers or investigations. During the long voyage he had a chance to thoroughly inspect the sword he had stolen, its sheath was crafted from high quality Hinoki, and clad in gold over an intricately carved scale pattern, the oddity of this sword was the shear level of detail and design that went into its aesthetic value. However completely contrasting this was the blade itself, the metal shined with a bluish hue, and held a razors edge, on the habaki was an intricate engraving of a gilded dragon encircling an orb, similar to the crest used by the original seiryuu clan in its first campaign. A powerful force seemed to eminate from the blade, casting static jolts of electricity even when let alone, Tsukiyo attempted to remember which of the many treasures his uncle had to keep watch over matched this peculiar item. At that moment he understood just what he had taken, one of the few great treasures of the first generation, the guardian sword "Koryu". His father's ancestors were originally an allied clan of the first Seiryuu leader, and as a gift to commemorate a grand victory over their adversaries, a sword was crafted which would symbolize the power of the Seiryuu clan, and at the same time further reinforce the support given to them. Tsukiyo couldn't believe what he had taken, and knew that if things came down to it he would end up being executed for treason (if ever caught with it), taking up the sword he walked out to the bow of the ship; still sailing across the ocean; and threw up his arm to throw the sword overboard. However just before it would have left his hand a bolt of lightning struck down from the sky, landing mere meters from the boat. The explosive shock-wave and blinding light knocked Tsukiyo out, upon awakening the sword still lay grasped in his hand, and from that moment onwards he felt that Koryu would sooner see him dead than be thrown into the ocean.

_{(Age 24-27)}<>Eventually Tsukiyo ended up in the furthest northern territories, at this point they were only getting by on the bare essentials, ill-equipped for the winter weather. They had ended up in one of the most notorious area's of Hokkaido, for Tsukiyo he felt it was the best place to stay hidden, considering the chances of Seiryuu clan soldiers searching for Koryu. Not to mention it would be hard for news to travel from here to Seiryuu territory quickly. The first trial for Tsukiyo to face was

<>Technique<>

• Aki Hakko {Autumn Flash}: calls lightning from the sky to the ground at a specific target, objects struck by lightning stay supercharged for a while. Touching effected objects causes neuromuscular incapacitation, which causes the victim (unless Lightning resistant) to lose muscle control and collapse, at the same time it emits a flash of light giving the user an idea of where an unwary enemy could be. Anyone directly struck will suffer from erratically focusing eyesight and jittery muscle movement for an extended period following the attack. This skill is extremely useful in defensive situations ( i.e. turning your castle wall into a bug lamp ).

• Raiyoku {Thunder Wing}: an extremely dangerous skill which can cause damage to a wide range in a single swing. It creates a massive blade of lightning during a swing, which spreads out into a torrent of destruction. As he has yet to master the Koryu he has little control over its capacities, and has injured himself several times whilst attempting to control it. (like Aorai Hakko, but much much larger)

• Sen has exceptionally good looks, to which he uses quite effectively to bring in workers for his "hotel" side-business, however he has a habit of turning away the underage, and does not force people into working for him. Something quite unlike a Pirate, because of this the people of Kushinari island see him as a guardian, instead of a criminal.

• Sen plays a Balalaika in the mornings, on many occasions it can be heard echoing throughout the harbor.
